His riches are Glorious

Philippians 4:19

In verse 19, Paul tells us God will take care of us and supply our needs. This is not a “give me” list. This is a need list.  He may give beyond what we ask for. “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:19. (NLT) He says He will take care of us and supply all of our needs. The key phrase of this verse is the supply comes from “his glorious riches” Christ’s offer Is riches to us. These are beyond what we can ever imagine. Since we ere unable to have our own children, we decided to adopt. We needed to save to accomplish this. A couple months before we needed a down payment, a missionary friend needed about $700 to go back overseas. We prayed about this and gave them the $700. We told no one and prayed how God would provide for our adoption costs. About a week later, friend came up to us and said God wanted them to help us with the adoption costs. They gave us a check for $900. We were blown away. God gave from His glorious riches which were given in the name of Jesus Christ. His riches are not just financial. He also truly supplied our needs in our two job moves. For each move we were not sure if we could find a church better than the ones we were attending at each location. Again, He supplied our needs beyond all of our expectations. Both churches we decided on were different from the last church. We loved and grew at both including prayerfully in Illinois where we first attended with an interim pastor. God is good.
