Does God Exist?

John 16:33

Sometimes it looks like our lives are falling apart. Reasons could include poor health, loss of a job or our relationships around us. I have come to learn God is still with me. I get tired of believers telling others God has a wonderful plan for their life. At those moments of struggle, God is probably not thought of at all and they may question if He exists at all. Struggles will come to all. Someone once send, life is 10% what happens and 90% how we respond. John 16:33 says: “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world”. (NLT). Unfortunately, God does not promise a blessed life while we are here on earth. Why should we be more blessed over someone else? What gives us the right to demand our answers from God? He says we will have many trials and sorrow but He will give us His peace. From earlier in the chapter, He tells us this because the future is coming and He will return and our sorrow will turn to joy and peace. I do not think I spend enough time considering my final future with Jesus in heaven. There are some outstanding songs about heaven and certainly I could spend more time meditating on this subject. He does conclude in this last verse in John 16 and states He has overcome the world and will vanquish Satan from this earthly world.

When was the last time you meditated and prayed about your future here on earth?
