Pray, Pray, Pray

James 5:16b

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective”. James 5:16b. NIV. Sometimes we need to check other ways to strengthen our relationship with God. My wife has written her payers in a prayer journal for many years. I finally tried and have seen Him respond as writing slows me down in my prayer time. This allows me to be sincere, remember who I am talking to and pray more specifically waiting on the Holy Spirit.

‘Lord, thank you for giving me another day to serve you. You are an awesome God and the creator of the universe. Thank you for loving me and sending your Son to die for my sins. Allow me to see the opportunities during the day when I can share, live or stand up for my faith. Forgive me for things that get it the way of knowing you better. Help me be intentionally aware of any area of my life where I need to make adjustments or changes. Expand my book and Parkinson’s group ministries. Allow my schedules and ministries to bring honor to you. Strengthen my marriage and other relationships of those around me. Lord, our country needs you and help all Christians to be centered on your truth. Do not allow me to be pulled away by the devil. Help others to be aware of the devil trying to pull us from you. Help me to see where you are working around us and to pursue, join and be a part of your plans for me. I ask all things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen”

Pray this prayer twice today?

Can you write one of your own?
