Isaiah 30:15
We continue today with our theme “rest”. Our schedules and lives continue to go crazy unless we intentionally take steps to slow down. There are a few verses and versions where God encourages us to be still. quiet or silent. Many times, God was getting tired of the sinful actions of the Israelites. God wanted to bless them and He wants to bless us through His death and salvation. Are we ignoring Him today? He wants us to repent and rest in Him. He also wants us to rest and trust in Him. Israel wanted none of this. “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.” Isaiah 30:15 NIV. The Israelites grumbled, ignored God and continued to disobey. How can you not follow God 100% when He has the power of opening up the Red Sea. This had to amaze them. Today I am not sure if some days I am like an Israelite and amazed at His miracles in my life. Then at the same time question where He is leading to or what to do? My faith may weaken for a bit. I find I have spent less time with Him in the last day or more. I must spend time in prayer as I seek Him and work on our relationship again. This must start with resting in Him and taking the time to reflect on what actually happened and seek His forgiveness.
Does the parting of the Red Seal really impress you?
How can you stay strong in your walk with God with less questions and more trust?
