Last time we talked about Jesus following the will of His Father regarding His mission while on earth. I often hear “what is God’s will and purpose for my life”? This answer is straight forward in 1 Thessalonians and another verse under my radar. Verse 17b is often missed: “Always be joyful. Keep on praying. No matter what happens always be thankful, For this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” Thessolonians 5:16-18. NLT. Three key commands in verses 15, 16 and 17a. Be joyful always and in all our situations. Pray continually and for every detail for each day. This includes planned and unplanned circumstances you may encounter. Always be thankful. Remember the past blessings He has given you and today and the ones in the future. If we can get a good balance of these three, we can seek and know His our will and purpose for us. For me this is always a challenge to keep this up every day. I tend to change my time with Him often. This helps me keep fresh in my relationship with God. This also helps me stay in tune with HIm and hear His voice and not mine. I can hear God saying be still and let me talk. We cannot have any relationship without hearing from both sides. A few suggestions are: Use a specific devotion a few days per week. For your prayer time, my friend Mike Brown suggested worship Him on “Worship Wednesday”. I receive pray requests by e-mail from the “Presidential Pray Team”. All my prayers on Thursdays are for many concerns of our country. I may read through or listen to one of the books of the Bible. Our time with Him must be adjusted since He continues to change our lives.

Adjust your day to pray more specific for each day and seek HIM?
