2 timothy 3:3-8. This world needs prayer. For the summer, our pastor is doing a great study of 2 Timothy. Where is our country heading? As Paul mentors Timothy. He wants him to know the truth and be ready to take a stand for his faith. Paul warns him in 2 Timothy 3-8. “ You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!” After reading these verses, I believe he has covered them all. Many of these items listed are attached to selfishness, lack of humility, a hatred of God and greed. Sounds like this country today. Prayer for our country, citizens and politicians is desperately needed. Recent Gallop Poll ranks Congress first and the media second at the top of the “Not to believe what they say” list. I am an Election Judge and I am glad to see more young people coming in to register to vote for coming elections. Prayer and faith are the answer for this country. Amen.
The end times??!!
